Hello 38

Bye bye 37 // via Hyperkit

Vendredi dernier, j’avais 37 ans. Et je disais à tout le monde que j’avais presque 40 ans. Et tout le monde disais rhoôo, mais non, c’est pas possible, tu les fais pas, j’y crois pas, si, si, je disais en bougeant mon cou comme une poule fière de son couteau.

Et puis dimanche en fêtant encore mon anniversaire, j’ai dit au Geek Magnifique, et bien maintenant je suis dans mon année de 39 ans. Et mon cœur s’est serré. 39, c’est effectivement vraiment presque 40. Et même si vieillir ne me fait pas peur, la mort ne me fait pas peur (bon mon psy disait que ce n’était pas si sain en fait, mais bon qui a dit que je l’étais), même si je fais plus jeune et gna gna gna, et bien une voix a dit non non non à l’intérieur, tu vas arrêter de dire ça. Tu n’as pas presque 40 ans, ni 39, tu as 38 ans et c’est déjà pas mal et tu as encore tellement de chose à faire et de projet à mettre en œuvre là tout de suite. Ne te vieillis pas tant. Et c’est ce que j’ai dit au Geek Magnifique. Et puis maintenant à vous.

Last Friday, I was 37. And I kept on saying I was nearly 40. And everybody went rhooo no, can’t be true, you look younger, so much younger, yes, I tell you I would say so proud of me.

And then, on Sunday, we were celebrating again my birthday and I said to the beautiful geek, well, now I am in my 39^th year. And my heart shrank. 39 IS nearly 40. Getting old doest frighten me, I’m not afraid of death neither (well there my shrink kept on saying it wasn’t such a good thing, but well I’m kind of insane anyway), I know that I look younger and blab la bla, but a little voice in my head said stop saying that. You’re not 40, not 39, you are 38 and it is old enough. You have so many things to do, so many projects on the way. Don’t age yourself so much. And then I said all that to the Beautiful Geek. And finally to you.
